You obviously enjoy the great game of golf. Don’t You? Yet it can be very frustrating at times – especially with those long irons. You hit a decent tee shot but then comes the dreaded second shot. Sometimes the contact is not good, or you hit it on the toe or heel. Instead of going straight, the ball turns around to chase you. Wide sole hybrid clubs combined with a lightweight steel shaft also become a good substitute to Drivers on hazardous holes. You get good distance and better control. Why risk an out of bounds.
Many will gladly spend $175 on such a club from Callaway, Nike etc. and they do as they are worth it. However; there are lesser known brands available from smaller outfits like InterloperGolf at a fraction of the cost. Instead of paying $175, you can end up with an excellent hybrid club for around $50. They’ll even customize the shaft flex and length etc. for you. That’s what smart customers do. They get the clubs they want at a fraction of the cost.
Hybrid clubs have become a bigger market than woods and irons because of their versatility and forgiveness. Those who are good at irons prefer the iron like hybrids. Those that are not prefer the wood like hybrid clubs. Right at address, the larger head gives you confidence. Take a swing and let it rip. Watch as the ball flies high and long and then lands softly on the green. While others are going helter skelter as usual looking for their balls, you remove the headcover from your putter and confidently stride forward to the green.
